Less than an hour away,
Half Moon Beach has become one of our favorite places to spend a hot summer's day. It's a quarry that is always cool and typically teal. Our house-guests loved it! And I'm glad we got there early, because by 1:00 or so, three bus-loads of day camp kids had staked claim to
wide portions of the soft, white sand.

Whoo! I DID get busy! I love quarry swimming. Does that one get deep pretty quickly?
Sure does get deep! And it's always refreshing even on the hottest weeks. The sun can't ever get to that deep water.
